Discord Navigation / Mentorship

Come prepared. Build a repeatable process.

Your route from setup and intake to study, practice, and a useful review with your mentor.

Already enrolled or exploring mentorship?

Enrolled: follow the checklist below and any instructions confirmed for your engagement. Interested: request the required fit call. HPT’s private mentorship centers on process, risk controls, execution, and your twelve-month trading objective. Availability, price, and schedule are confirmed directly.

01 / Arrive ready to work

Your preparation checklist.

  1. Confirm your engagement and next meeting.

Use your established HPT contact to confirm the meeting time and time zone, where you will meet, what to prepare, and where to return private material. Keep the confirmed scope and schedule handy.

  2. Set up Discord and your included tools.

Use the Paid Members setup guide for access and the toolkit. If something included with your mentorship is locked, use membership-access ↗ and name the exact room or tool. Indicator requests go through request-indicator-access ↗.

  3. Complete the day-one intake.

Download your intake, onboarding packet, HPT book, and journal from member-toolkit ↗. Be honest about experience, current process, recurring mistakes, and objectives. Follow the private return instructions; do not publish completed forms in Discord chat.

  4. Prepare your platform.

Confirm you can find the correct symbol and time frame, mark levels, take a readable chart screenshot, and use your broker’s simulated order ticket. Save a simple chart layout. Use the Academy and Education Library for platform and order-entry lessons.

  5. Bring a baseline.

Prepare a short description of how you currently choose, enter, manage, and review a trade. Bring a few redacted examples showing both disciplined decisions and mistakes. If you have no trading history, use clearly labeled replay or paper examples.

02 / Learn in a useful order

Your starting study roadmap.

This is the starting sequence. Your mentor’s assigned lessons and pace take priority once your process has been reviewed.

  1. Instrument and order mechanics.

Know what you are trading and how the order works. Start with the HPT beginner learning path, options-for-beginners ↗ or futures-for-beginners ↗, and brokers-and-order-entry ↗.

  2. Risk and a written plan.

Study risk-and-trade-plans ↗. Be able to explain your entry condition, what invalidates the idea, planned loss, and when you will stop trading for the session.

  3. Chart structure.

Work through market-structure ↗, candlesticks ↗, fibonacci ↗, and chart-patterns ↗. Mark the chart yourself before comparing it with an example.

  4. Build context around the setup.

Add vwap-and-volume ↗, hpt-trading-method ↗, and the lessons relevant to your instrument. Options students can continue with greeks-gamma-and-iv ↗.

  5. Practice, journal, and review.

Use psychology-and-backtesting ↗, historical chart examples, and your journal. Record what you saw before the outcome, then compare your execution with the plan.

Browse the complete Academy, Education Library, video library, and Answer Desk when you need a specific explanation.

03 / Your first preparation exercise

Bring a plan you can explain.

If your mentor has already assigned different work, complete that first. Otherwise, use this exercise to prepare for the initial process review.

  1. Write your objective and friction points.

State what you want to improve over the next twelve months. List the three recurring habits or knowledge gaps that currently get in your way.

  2. Mark one chart before seeing the outcome.

Choose a historical or paper-trading example. Label the ticker, instrument, date, time frame, relevant levels, setup, trigger, invalidation, and target. Keep the chart readable and hide private account details.

  3. Write the decision.

Explain why you would enter, wait, or pass. Include the planned risk and conditions that would make the idea unsuitable. Clearly label the example as paper or replay; no live order is needed.

  4. Review what happened.

Reveal the next bars or review the paper result. Record whether the setup triggered, whether you followed the plan, what you learned, and one question for your mentor.

Bring these to the review

Your completed intake through the agreed private method, your objective and three friction points, one annotated chart, the written decision, a journal entry, and your questions.

04 / Make each review useful

Study → practice → feedback → repeat.

Do

  • Show your reasoning, including where you were unsure.
  • Bring losses and mistakes as honestly as wins.
  • Keep examples labeled with instrument, date, and account context.
  • Take notes and finish the agreed follow-up.
  • Ask early if an instruction or deadline is unclear.

Don’t

  • Replace learning with requests for a guaranteed trade.
  • Hide an error or change a journal entry to look better.
  • Increase risk to impress a mentor or recover a loss.
  • Post private intake answers or account access details in public rooms.
  • Assume unlimited availability, recording permission, or services outside your confirmed engagement.

Use homework-turn-in ↗ for appropriate general exercises and member-help ↗ for setup questions. Send private mentorship material through your agreed contact method. The community rules also apply.

05 / Mentorship FAQs

Know what comes next.

I am already enrolled. Where should I start?

Complete the setup and intake steps below, collect the toolkit, and confirm the next meeting and private return method directly with HPT through your established contact. Bring your trading objective, current process, and the main problem you want to work on.

I am interested but have not joined mentorship. What do I do?

Use Book / Contact to request the required fit call. Availability, pricing, scope, and scheduling are discussed directly. Reading this guide or buying another HPT product does not enroll you in private mentorship.

How many sessions do I get, and when are they?

Use the schedule and scope confirmed for your engagement. This guide does not set a universal session count, response time, meeting cadence, or recording policy. Confirm these details with HPT before relying on an assumed schedule.

Where do I send my intake and private journal?

Use the private return method in your onboarding packet or agreed with your mentor. Do not post balances, personal circumstances, completed intake forms, broker credentials, or account identifiers in public channels. General chart exercises can go to homework-turn-in when appropriate.

Do I need to finish the entire Academy before the first meeting?

Start with your current level and the sequence below. Complete any lesson your mentor assigned first. The goal is to arrive with useful questions and examples; your mentor can adjust the sequence after reviewing your process.

What if I am new to options or futures?

Start with the beginner learning path and the lesson for your instrument. Learn the contract and order ticket, then risk and chart structure. Use paper trading or replay for practice until you understand the mechanics and your plan.

What if I do not understand an assignment?

Bring the lesson title, the part that is unclear, your marked chart or attempted answer, and one specific question. Show your reasoning so the review can identify the missing step.

Are indicators or live trades required for every assignment?

Follow the assignment and the tools included in your confirmed engagement. A clear chart, written plan, and journal can support practice. Do not buy tools or place a live trade just to complete a study exercise.

Is mentorship someone trading my account for me?

HPT describes mentorship as process and risk review, a personalized development roadmap, accountability, and platform/strategy alignment. Keep control of your account and never share passwords, verification codes, or API keys. Trading outcomes are not guaranteed.
